Best Prenatal Yoga in Chicago

 

Bloom has been dedicated to teaching prenatal yoga in Chicago since opening in 2004 and we’ve taught thousands of prenatal students in the years since. Bloom offers more prenatal classes per week than any studio in the city and we’re honored to have been selected as the Best Yoga Studio offering prenatal classes in the 2013 Chicago Magazine “Best of” issue.

Yoga Alliance Registration

 

Bloom is a Registered Prenatal Yoga School (RPYS) through Yoga Alliance. Graduates of Bloom's 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training program will be eligible to receive the Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) designation.

​

Note: Upon completion of the required coursework, graduates are required by Yoga Alliance to teach 30 hours of prenatal yoga classes in order to be eligible for the RPYT designation.

Prenatal Teacher Training Curriculum

Prenatal Yoga classes help to prepare pregnant students for the birth of their baby and to work to alleviate pregnancy-related discomforts by practicing gentle, modified yoga poses and breathing exercises. These classes keep students happy and healthy, and are a wonderful opportunity for people that are pregnant to connect and celebrate their changing bodies and growing babies.

Bloom’s Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Curriculum includes the following modules:

  • Risk and the Prenatal Mindset

  • Asana for Pregnancy:

    • Neutral and Internally-Rotated Standing Poses

    • Kneeling and Side-Lying Poses
