Good Seeds 95 hour Hybrid Children's Yoga Teacher Training with Chelsea Brown

This comprehensive, Yoga Alliance Registered training will guide you to deepen your own relationship to yoga while learning how to transmit its tremendous benefits to children of all ages. You will learn the anatomy of yoga poses, how to practice and lead meditation, guided relaxation, and breathing techniques, fundamental child development, and strategies for creating a cooperative class environment.

What You Will Learn

Yoga Poses

You will receive comprehensive instruction on yoga poses, anatomy, and child developmental stages to better understand the mechanics and benefits of yoga asana on growing bodies.

Breathing, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra

We will explore meditative techniques each month to help guide you to develop a strong practice of your own while learning tools to transmit these valuable life skills to children as young as toddlers on up to teenagers.

Creative Expression, Stories, and Games

Learn to make yoga fun and engaging for children at any stage using a variety of playful techniques, and enjoy letting loose as you learn through experience!

Good Seeds Yoga’s 95 Hour Children’s Specialty Certification is compliant with Yoga Alliance Standards. This not only means that you are being offered the gold standard of yogic education, but that upon completion you will be able to register as a Yoga Alliance Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher.

Tuition for 2023 Program

 

$1950, or $1750 if paid in full by August 15th early tuition payment deadline. Full tuition is due September 1st, 2023. Tuition may be submitted via credit card. 

 

Apply and submit your deposit by 8/15 to be eligible for $200 off your registration fees.

Tuition includes:

 

  • Good Seeds Yoga Children's Yoga Teacher Training Handbook

  • All required modules for the 95-hour certification program

  • 1 complimentary observation class at Bloom

  • Opportunity to teach 1 children's class with lead trainer observation

  • Individual feedback and mentoring on teaching

*Note: Certification is not automatic upon completion of teacher training program modules. Receipt of the certificate will be based on successful completion of all required modules and assignments, attendance requirements, and lead trainer's assessment of trainee's teaching competence. 

Payment Plan

Trainees have the option of paying tuition via a payment plan. There is an additional charge of $50 for the payment plan option, for a total fee of $2000. Terms are as follows:

  • First payment of $500 due by September 1 to initiate payment plan ($250 application deposit will be applied towards this payment)

  • 3 additional monthly payments of $500. Tuition must be paid in full by December 15th

  • Payments to be automatically charged to credit card on file on the 15th of every month. Full tuition must be paid by December 15, 2023.

Scholarships are available for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ students

 

  • We are seeking applicants who do not feel represented in the current depiction of yoga practitioners and teachers, whether that refers to skin color, body size, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical ability, socioeconomic status, or otherwise.

  • Scholarship Application Deadline: August 1, 2023. Scholarships will be granted by August 15.

  • Scholarships available: Two scholarships of $600 each

Attendance Policies:

Certification will be awarded upon completion of all contact hours, homework assignments, and practicum (teaching and observation hours). Sessions will be recorded, however, it is expected that you will be present for live instruction as much as possible. If you miss a session, you will be asked to watch the recording and take a quiz/write a reflection on the content discussed in class. You will have 3 months after the final day of instruction to complete any additional assignments or practicum hours and receive your certification.

Chelsea Brown, Lead Trainer

Chelsea is a Yoga Alliance Registered Experienced Yoga Teacher with over 2,000 hours of teaching experience and over 300 hours of formal training. Chelsea's professional experience with children spans over a decade to include not only through yoga, but work as a camp counselor, educational assistant, and USA Gymnastics certified coach. Her dedication to children's yoga blossomed in 2010. At that time Chelsea was completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training while working as an educational assistant for students with special needs. She quickly discovered the immense benefits a yogic approach to self-regulation had on her students.

Chelsea completed her 95 hour Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher requirements in 2017 through Global Family Yoga, a national leader in education for children's yoga teachers. Chelsea aspires to help shape today’s children into vibrant and connected adults who will use their gift of a lifelong yoga practice to create a more beautiful tomorrow.
