Our Response

In response to COVID-19, Bloom temporarily closed its studio doors on March 15, 2020. Knowing how essential yoga and meditation are to well-being (especially during stressful times), we immediately pivoted to offer an online schedule of 30 weekly classes with your favorite Bloom teachers. It's been wonderful to stay virtually connected with you, our dear friends and community members. Your heartfelt messages of support and gratitude for our online yoga offerings have really been incredible. Thank you!

Although our plan had been to open for In-Studio classes July 13th, we've decided we need to delay until there is a significant improvement in local case numbers. This was not a decision we made lightly, and it was based on close communication and input from our wonderful teachers. Our top priority is the health and safety of our clients (that's you!) and staff. We'll be closely watching local case numbers and city guidelines over the coming weeks and will keep our community informed of any updates.

Massage appointments now available

We are so pleased to now offer massage appointments and will follow strict cleaning protocols and all best practices to keep our clients safe. Our fantastic massage therapists are ready and happy to help you relieve the stress and tension of these last few months. Outdoor Yoga classes resume!

Missing the group class experience? Join us outside. We're now offering 6 weekly Outdoor Yoga Classes. The safety of our clients and staff is of the utmost concern to us, and we are taking the following precautions as advised by the City of Chicago guidelines.

Outdoor Yoga class details and protocols

  • Pre-registration is required - drop-ins will not be allowed
  • All clients will be required to complete a new, updated waiver. You must access the waiver through your Mindbody login
  • Maximum of 25 students per outdoor class
  • Registration closes 1 hour before class start time
  • Traditional Bloom Membership and Class packages may be used for purchase - Please note: Online packages/membership are not available for use for outdoor classes
  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes early - teacher takes roll call at beginning of class
  • Masks must be worn while setting up for class. Once on your mat, you have the option of removing your mask
  • Bring your own mats, towels, water and props and anything else you may need for practice. No loaners will be available
  • Teachers will not offer adjustments and will conduct class from their mat rather than walking around. And as hard as it is, we're asking all students and teachers to refrain from hugs for now!
  • Registration opens for classes 10 days ahead
  • If you need to cancel your registration, you must do so within 12 hours of class start time
  • In the event of inclement weather (rain/excessive heat), students will be notified of class cancellation via email 1 hour before class start time

Please do your part!

If you have any of the following potential COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to someone who has the virus, please stay home. This is the most important way you can protect yourself and others in our community.

According to the CDC, people with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported - ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Taking care of our Incredible Staff

We know how much the fabulous Bloom team of teachers, massage therapists, and front desk managers means to all of you. Zach and I love our team, and we're grateful that we have been able to compensate our entire staff of managers during this in-person closure. We've been able to keep our awesome yoga teachers working with our livestream classes, and we're happy to begin returning to in-person offerings as well. And our massage therapists are back to work now that we are open for massage. Immense gratitude for our amazing staff!
